BTEC Programmes at Nairobi Waldorf School Trust
At Nairobi Waldorf School Trust, we are proud to offer Pearson BTEC qualifications in Business and Art and Design at Levels 2 and 3. These internationally recognized courses combine classroom knowledge with practical, hands-on learning. They are widely respected by universities and employers in Kenya and around the world.
Our approach integrates the Waldorf philosophy with the BTEC “learn by doing” framework. This means that while learners gain technical and academic skills, they also develop creativity, ethical awareness, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
Both pathways open doors to higher education, apprenticeships, and employment, while also shaping learners into thoughtful, confident, and capable young adults.

What is a BTEC Business Qualification?
Pearson BTEC Business qualifications are designed to give learners real-world skills and confidence in the world of enterprise, management, and commerce. They combine classroom learning with practical projects, preparing students for employment, apprenticeships, or university-level study.
Level 2 Business gives learners a strong foundation in core business principles, preparing them to progress into Level 3 or entry-level employment.

Why Choose Art and Design at Nairobi Waldorf?
At Nairobi Waldorf School Trust, the BTEC Art and Design qualification is enriched by Waldorf philosophy and anthroposophy. This means our students are not only developing technical expertise but also nurturing imagination, empathy, and purposeful creativity.
We educate the whole human being, guiding learners to engage deeply with both the inner and outer worlds. The result is not just skilled artists, but thoughtful, conscious individuals ready to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Learning Through Doing and Being
The Art and Design pathway promotes applied learning in a way that aligns seamlessly with Waldorf values. Learners gain practical, hands-on experience with real-world artistic tasks, intellectual engagement through critical and creative thinking, and personal growth through discipline, collaboration, and social responsibility.
At NWST, this means students learn not only how to create, but why creativity matters in their lives and in the world.
Waldorf-Aligned Skills for Life
Through individualized mentorship and collaborative projects, our students cultivate both artistic and life skills, including creative thinking and originality, empathetic communication, holistic problem-solving, self-discipline and perseverance, and refined craftsmanship.
