Job Title: Mathematics and Chemistry Teacher
Location: NWST Karen Campus
Reports To: High School Principal
Type: Short-Term Contract
Duration: 2nd November – 4th December 2026
NWST Karen Campus is looking for a Mathematics and Chemistry Teacher for an urgent, short-term engagement. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, student-centered lessons in line with the Cambridge IGCSE curricula, with knowledge of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum being an added advantage. The role involves supporting student learning and assessing progress throughout the engagement
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics and Chemistry lessons.
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records and contribute to student progress reporting.
- Support students in developing mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, scientific inquiry, analytical and practical skills.
- Foster a warm, inclusive classroom environment that supports individual growth and collaboration.
- Monitor student progress and address learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of learning
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field with a specialization in Mathematics and Chemistry
- At least 2-3 years’ teaching experience at high school level.
- Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE curriculum or equivalent. Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is an added advantage
- Strong classroom management, communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and holistic education.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse school community.
